PETALING JAYA: Bukit Lanjan assemblyman Elizabeth Wong gave her statement to the police yesterday over photographs of her which are being circulated via MMS.
Selangor police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said Wong gave her statement at her lawyer’s office in Jalan Yong Shook Lin.
“Recording her statement is very important in our investigations because her police report was very brief and we need to get a first-hand account,” he said.
DCP Khalid declined to say if Wong had indicated who may have been responsible for snapping and circulating the photos.
He said police had also recorded statements from four journalists, including three senior editors, from two dailies. He said one of the journalists also handed over a disc allegedly containing photographs of Wong in an indecent position.
DCP Khalid said the case was being investigated for distributing and being in possession of materials containing pornographic elements.
